Adverse Weather
ClapHandies is under no obligation to refund lessons that may be missed by local adverse weather when the venue and environs are safe and accessible and lessons are held. We regret that we are unable to offer automatic refunding or rescheduling of lessons in the event of adverse conditions local to yourselves preventing you from attending a scheduled class.
Cancelling a class
Classes may be cancelled at any time during the term. Customers will be notified by email as soon as the cancellation is confirmed and all efforts will be made to re-schedule the cancelled class for another week.
Illness
We don't expect you to stay at home for every runny nose. But we do ask you stay away from class if you have any of these conditions, vomiting bug, diarrhoea, chicken pox, impetigo, hand, foot and mouth, conjunctivitis or other similar highly contagious condition. Please wait until your doctor has given the all-clear before returning to classes.
In the instance of sickness and diarrhoea your child must have been clear of all symptoms for at least 48 hours before attending a class.
Missed classes
Missed weeks can be made-up by coming to one of our other venues at any time during your term (space permitting), or you can bring a friend to your class at any time during your term, or donate your missed classes to a friend.
Behavior
We recognise that sometimes little ones let their excitement get the better of them, however rough or disruptive behavior towards participants and leaders is not allowed. We expect adults to remove children from the play activity until they are able to rejoin calmly.
Safety is our upmost priority. If a rough physical incident occurs (hitting, pulling hair, biting etc) during the PlayLab, we will ask the parents involved to remove the child from the play space to discuss the behavior with the child. The following week we ask that the adult keep a very close eye on the child to ensure it doesn't happen again, however if the disruptive behavior is repeated over multiple we will ask that the child takes a break from the PlayLabs and maybe returns again in a later term.
If we ask a client to stop coming to the classes we will offer a refund for remaining classes in the term.
Withdrawal of service
ClapHandies may, at its own discretion, refuse entry to a client to its classes, if it is felt that the client's behaviour is unreasonable.
Safety note
You are responsible for your child’s safety at all times.
We ask that all adults be diligent about making sure doors are safely shut, bags are out of reach etc.
Parental supervision
Parental supervision is a requirement to attend ClapHandies classes. Children should not be left unsupervised at any time. ClapHandies is not a pre-school service, falling under the Pre-School Services Regulations 2006, and children remain under the care and supervision of their parents at all times while attending at ClapHandies classes.
